Have you ever observed someone and been struck by how animal-like they can appear to be – either physically or in their behaviour? Conversely, animals can display very similar characteristics to humans.

In creating animal sculptures, giving them personalities and human characteristics, I am highlighting their importance as individual creatures. We all have a place in this world.

The sculptures are humorous, more by their nature rather than by design, but humour is an essential quality I believe so that’s OK.

This is seriously light-hearted work.
